Summer Outreach & Education

Summer is the busiest season for street vendors, and SVP staff and members conduct outreach 1-2 times per week during the summer months. From Harlem to Jamaica, we visit street vendors at their place of business to share educational resources about their rights and responsibilities.
All materials we distribute, SVP has created and translated in-house into Spanish, French, Mandarin, Bangla, Arabic, and Wolof. Sign up to get involved!
I also appreciate the emphasis on leadership development and community empowerment. Effective advocacy begins with engaged melhorar qualidade da foto and informed leaders who are willing to dedicate their time and energy to supporting others. By creating opportunities for members to participate in decision-making and organizational leadership, the Street Vendor Project is helping build a stronger and more resilient community that can continue to advocate for fairness, opportunity, and economic justice.
